Mission
The Institute is dedicated to advancing the in-depth research and development of Taiwan Literature, exploring and promoting Taiwan's literary and cultural traditions and strengthening local cultural identity. We are devoted to fostering academic exchange at both the domestic and international levels, thereby establishing Taiwan's distinctive position in global culture.
Objective
1. in academic vision, it can help build up the bridge between the domestic and overseas with the regard on the study of Taiwan, and establish cosmopolitan academic perspective
2. in research methodology, it is found with humanity and social science, thus achieving the integrated objective of inter-disciplinary training
3. in research attitude, it is given with the coexistence of theory and practice, putting focus on the promotion of knowledge-based economy
